St. Francis Retreat Center is located 40 miles south of San Jose, CA, 40 miles east of the Monterey-Carmel area, and about 1 1/2 hours south of San Francisco International Airport off of Highway 101. It's nestled in the foothills above the mission, in a forested area with wind rustling through the trees and the sweet sound of birds. The Mission de San Juan Bautista is located just a short drive away from the center. There are walking paths on the property.

Retreat facility cost:
$425. includes double-occupancy accommodations and meals from Sunday evening to Wednesday lunch and all programs.

$500. for a private room -- for those who do not prefer to have a roommate. Includes accommodation and meals from Sunday evening to Wednesday lunch and all programs.

$350. if you prefer to attend the retreat only during the day and eat meals Sunday evening through Wednesday with us. Overnight accomodations are not included in this rate.

For those of you familiar with our California Central Coast retreats, THIS is a big change in accomodations. The St. Francis Retreat Center is completely furnished and fully appointed. Bedding, towels, etc. are all provided in your rooms. You will enjoy hotel-style guest accommodations.

The meals are healthy and delicious - and we don't have to do the dishes! Meals are served ranch-style in a buffet-line set-up. We will be served individually with separate dining tables for our group. If you have any dietary requirements, we can accommodate you. Nothing for you to think about, just sew, sew, sew.

As usual, we’ll have quilt shops closeby — everything in San Juan Bautista that I featured in the blog post (so that includes CHOCOLATE!) and an option for a massage with a great massage therapist!
