Hi Annie.
Thanks so much for your podcasts. I just started to listen to them and cannot get enough. Your time and effort is so appreciated.
I am also a quilter living in San Jose, and wonder if there is really a community in the area, or on the web that supports people who are interested in hand work. SCVQA seems extremely focused on machine work, as do most of the quilting resources we have today.
What can I do to learn more about people who do hand piecing, and hand quilting? Have you run into any forums either in the bay area or on the web? I sort of feel like a fish out of water much of the time since people have long arm quilters that help them with their projects, and most quilters don’t actually have the time or interest in doing their own quilting. This is understandable, since our lives are so busy these days and time is hard to come by for our projects.
Even so…if you have any ideas of forums either live or virtual, I’d love to hear about them!
Thanks for your ideas, and thanks again SO MUCH for your podcasts! I just had a new baby and spend a lot of time nursing, so it’s good food for thought while baby and I hang out together.
Sincerely,
Marisa
