Program 158 – From the Empty Spools Seminar
…in Asilomar California!

The last few weeks have just flown by and I must apologize for the delay in getting you a podcast. Thanks for your patience.
I’m calling this podcast in from the Empty Spools Seminar in Asilomar California. I plan to update you a few times between now and Saturday so come back often.
I gave a presentation at Sunday evening’s opening session. Here is a picture of what the stage looked like – filled with my quilts. It was a surreal experience.
In my presentation I speak of finding your inner mojo, muse, or inspiration. Often times you can find them in everyday things or things left behind from a departed loved one. One of the tools I use is a hat that my mother owned. I’m sure she bought it back in the early 60’s. She never threw anything away. So I inherited it and now use it to help me find my creative path.

No, it’s not a bouquet of flowers. It really is a hat! There’s more to it than that. I may post the talk I gave so you can better understand what I’m talking about.

Oh, goodie! I was having podcast withdrawal (and I don’t even quilt -yet anyway)! I will listen to you later today as I get out for a walk. Listening to a familiar voice talk about common interests helps to make the walk more enjoyable.

Glad to here from you
Glad your having a great time. Sounds like your presentation went great, too
Can’t wait to hear more.

It is funny you mentioned the M. Botswick book. I was in the library a couple of weeks ago and looking at the new book section and took out the book. I love it. I only read about a third, but so far, so good. Kathy
